IOSH Managing Safely Certificate is a dynamic and practical 4 day Health and Safety training course designed to educate line managers on their Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities and build the confidence to put it all into practice.

This course covers 8 units over 4 days:

IOSH Managing Safely Course Assessment and Certification:

• An objective (short answer) test
• A practical assessment in the workplace
  

Each delegate is required to sit a short answer test during the course and submit a hand written practical assessment after the last day of the course. This paperwork is explained during the course by the tutor.
Candidates who attend and successfully complete the course will be awarded a certificate from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

IOSH Managing Safely certificates are issued by the examining body IOSH approximately at least 12 weeks after the last day of the course ending including exams.

The 'IOSH Working Safely Certificate' course is designed to train employees to ensure that their actions contribute to health and safety in the workplace and that individual responsibilities are clearly understood.

IOSH Working Safely Course Aims
To make employees at all levels aware of their responsibilities for safety toward themselves,
colleagues and others affected by work activities.

IOSH Working Safely Certification
The 'IOSH Working Safely Certificate' is awarded to all those who attend the course and successfully
complete both the written and practical assessments.
Understanding of the course material is evaluated by means of a 20 minute written assessment
paper consisting of 10 multi-choice questions and a practical assessment, eg hazard identification.

The IOSH Working Safely Certificate learning outcomes
The 'IOSH Working Safely Certificate' course is for all levels of personnel. Learning outcomes upon successful completion of the course, delegates should be able to:

• Identify the hazards and evaluate risks in the workplace
  
• Use appropriate workplace precautions for specific risks or seek advice on workplace precautions
  
• Assist managers in preparing written risk assessments
  
• Follow their organisation’s health and safety policy
  
• Co-operate and communicate on health and safety matters
  
• Carry out work activities without risk to themselves or others
  
• Report relevant accidents and incidents, monitor their own activities, and assist managers in active monitoring.

IOSH Working Safely Certification
On successful completion of a short answer test the delegate will receive an IOSH accredited certificate. The assessment procedure for this course consists of a short 20-minute closed book 10 question multiple-choice paper and a hazard spotting exercise.

The IOSH Managing Safely in Construction course is aimed at managers and senior site staff who are required to manage efficiently and effectively in compliance with both the organisations safety policy and current health and safety legislation.

IOSH Managing Safely in Construction Course Aims
The course concentrates on training managers and supervisors to apply sound management principles to Health and Safety issues as part of a total management strategy. It may be tailored to meet the particular needs of organisations and provides successful candidates with a recognised qualification in health and safety.

IOSH Managing Safely in Construction Assessment
Delegates who attend and successfully complete both the practical and written assessments will be awarded the nationally recognised Managing Safely in Construction certificate issued by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). The practical assessment must be completed in the delegate's workplace and submitted within two weeks of completeing the course.
