Examination
Each delegate is required to sit two unit written exams during the NEBOSH General Certificate training course and submit a hand written practical assessment.
Units NGC1 and NGC2 are taught units each assessed by one two-hour written examination. Each written examination consists of ten ‘short-answer’ questions and one ‘long-answer’ question. All questions are compulsory.
This paperwork is explained during the course by the tutor. It is the delegate’s responsibility to submit their assessment within the timescale, any assessments not returned by the deadline will result in the delegate failing the course.
Unit NGC3 is assessed by one two-hour practical examination. This is held on a date set by the course provider and must be taken within 14 days of a written examination.
The practical examination is internally assessed by the course provider and externally moderated by NEBOSH.
Important Information
Delegates are awarded the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety on successful completion of the training course. Certificates are issued by the examining body NEBOSH approximately 16 weeks after the last day of the course ending including exams..
