NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
The 'NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management' provides basic knowledge and understanding on occupational fire safety and prepares you to look at the conduct and review of fire risk assessments and fire preventive and protective measures within most workplaces.
It has been designed for:

The NEBOSH Fire Certificate comprises of 3 units:
- Health and Safety Management
- Fire Safety and Risk Management
- Practical Fire Risk Assessment.
This course is targeted at delegates who have successfully completed the 'NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety' or the Management of Safety & Health (week 1) of the 'NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety' in the last 5 years.
'NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management' Learning Outcomes
- Understand the legal framework relating to fire and health & safety
- Appreciate the purpose and procedures of investigating fires in the workplace
- Outline the principles behind ignition and spread of fire and explosion in work premises
- Identify the causes of fire and explosion and outline appropriate control measures to minimise fire risks
- Advise on the means of fire protection and prevention of fire spread within buildings
- Advise on the development and maintenance of a fire evacuation procedure
- Use a simple fire risk assessment technique to determine risk levels and assess the adequacy of controls.
NEBOSH Fire Certificate On-Site Assessment
Attendees are tasked with completing an on-site workplace fire risk assessment assignment following the last day of the course. The assignment is to be compeleted at the delegates workplace and submitted to NEBOSH within 2 weeks of the final day of the course.
NEBOSH Fire Certificate Certification
On successful completion of the NEBOSH Fire Certificate exam the delegate will recieve a 'NEBOSH accredited Fire Certificate'. Certificates are forwarded by 'NEBOSH' approximately 12 weeks after completion of the course.

There are no formal pre-requisites for delegates wanting to take the 'NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management' training course.
